Privacy Policy

At Harbour Tools, privacy is a design requirement, not an afterthought. Here is our straightforward, honest explanation of how your data is handled.

Your images stay on your device

All image processing, metadata inspection, binary chunk rewriting, and verification happen locally within your web browser using HTML5 File and TypedArray APIs. Your original images, cleaned images, filenames, metadata values, and GPS coordinates are never uploaded to Harbour Creative servers, third-party cloud hosts, or AI APIs.

1. Zero server storage of images

When you select an image in our Image Metadata Remover:

  • –The file is loaded directly into your browser's volatile memory.
  • –Our parser reads the binary byte structure on your local machine.
  • –The metadata segments are stripped and a new clean file buffer is created locally.
  • –The browser generates a local object URL to let you save the cleaned file.

When you navigate away, reset the tool, or close the tab, the temporary memory pointers are released and discarded by your browser.

2. No accounts or identity data collected

Harbour Tools does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, physical address, or payment information. We do not require registration, login, or social authentication.

3. Privacy-conscious product telemetry

To ensure the site remains fast and identify operational bugs, we may measure anonymous product performance metrics (such as page visits, file format type, and whether a cleaning operation completed successfully).

We strictly enforce:

  • –Zero collection of image contents or pixel buffers.
  • –Zero collection of file names or paths.
  • –Zero collection of GPS coordinates or location values.
  • –Zero collection of personal EXIF tags (camera serial numbers, author names).
  • –Full respect for browser "Do Not Track" headers.

4. Operator identification & contact

Harbour Tools is operated by Harbour Creative. If you have any inquiries regarding this policy or our data practices, please reach out via our Harbour Creative contact page.
