Terms of Use

By accessing Harbour Tools, operated by Harbour Creative, you agree to these terms.

1. User rights & responsibility for images

You represent and warrant that you own or possess all requisite rights, licenses, and permissions to upload, inspect, modify, and process any images you introduce into Harbour Tools.

You agree not to use Harbour Tools to tamper with copyright notices, intellectual property indicators, or forensic evidence in a manner that violates applicable local or international laws.

2. Scope & technical limitations

Harbour Tools provides client-side binary parsing and segment stripping for supported standard formats (JPEG, PNG, WebP). While our tool performs independent output re-inspection to verify standard metadata removal:

  • –Cryptographic provenance: Advanced technologies such as C2PA Content Credentials or digital blockchain signatures may require specialised cryptographic workflows and are outside the verified scope of standard metadata removal.
  • –Steganography & watermarks: Invisible pixel-level watermarks embedded directly in RGB matrices cannot be altered by header stripping.
  • –No guarantee of absolute anonymity: Removing metadata eliminates EXIF, GPS, and descriptive tags, but visual clues or image recognition may independently identify image subjects.

3. Disclaimer of warranties & limitation of liability

Harbour Tools is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Harbour Creative does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely bug-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Harbour Creative shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data resulting from your use of or inability to use this service.

4. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. For any questions, please contact Harbour Creative.
